IMAGE: Based on Haida Traditional art of the Pacific Northwest Native (or First Nations) Tribes. You have the Third eye opening in a ring of four singing faces. Below the coyote (wolfmans brother) is represented on the bass, and the fish is on the guitar. The famous Mocking Bird flies to either side. Underneath the Lizard plays the keys and the drums. Things are getting crazy in NYC, The BBFCFM has kidnapped the Phish and climbed the Empire State building chased all the while by an envoy of UFOs shooting lazer beams.
Printed by The Half and Half of South Carolina, it is a 4 color silkscreened print in Metallic gold, Florescent pink, lime green and Black.
In size , style and work put in I think this may be my best one yet! though I'm also super partial to UFOs and NYC!

Phish Mandala Stickers

Stickers on White background. Perfect for indoor or outdoor use.
Each sticker is a mandala of an instrument used by a member of the band Phish. Around the edge of the sticker is the "totem" of that band member which their coresponding spirit animal at the bottom. The idea for these stickers came from the extremely limited edition posters I did for Red Rocks where each spirit animal was on stage with their totem written on the poster. In the sky was the manadala relating to the band member.
The colors on these stickers are vibrant and eye-catching. A great an inexpensive giftfor the music lover in your life, even if that person is you!

The lettering for Atlantic City is based on HBO's Boardwalk Empire but instead of lights it has skulls. The 4 symbols of the deck of cards watch from the corners and the tag at the bottom reads Happy Halloween.

IMAGE: The figure in the center finds inspiration in the Virgin of Gaudeloupe, the famous Central/South American version of Mary, mother or Jesus, which was combined with the tradional female mother figure of the region The Corn Mother. Our's is the Phish Mother, protector of tour, clothed in the celestial cloth and emitting rays of Kuroda spotlights. She controls the waves of sound causing the her fish followers to dance. Surrounding her are representations of this summers venues: the Greek, Telluride, Deer Creek, Alpine and Jones Beach. At her feet is the Helping Friendly book, the style is based on religious iconagraphy depictions of the bible where the two letters are the Alpha (beginning) and the Omega (the end). It represents that the book is the end all and be all.

IMAGE: The image for this poster comes from the story told through Mastodon's Crack the Skye album. It is the story of a quadriplegic boy who during an astral projection gets pulled through a worm hole into Tsarist Russia by the followers of Rasputin. The followers are trying to reinvigorate Rasputins body with the boys soul. Rasputin however would like to get the boy back to his body as his parents have assumed him dead. The front of the poster shows the boy's prone body in a brain aneurysm with Rasputins hand reaching through a worm hole trying to guide his soul. The sky is fractaling into patterns of Metatrons cube. As an extra bonus the other side of the poster is printed with Rasputin reaching through from the other side.

IMAGE: Playing with photo images is new for me and in this design I use photographic elements with my traditional hand work. This image is a hand draw representation of the Mayan Creation Tree. The Mayans refered to the dark rift in the Milky Way as "The opening of the Tree of Life or Creation Tree". At the end of the Mayan Calender roughly 12, 21, 2012 all the planets in our solar system will align with the dark rift. This will create the opening for the return of the god, Quetzalcoatl, the feathered serpent. In my opinion this is NOT signaling the "end of the world" purported by mass media of late but rather a cosmic shift towards good. The return of the "christ consciousness" as brought to light by Jesus, Buddha, Quetzalcoatl, amoung many others. The glyphs are the Fati Dic Glyph representing 2009-2012 on the Mayan Calender and the glyph for The Dark House (Ak'ab-Na),one of the 6 houses of Xibalba. Both glyphs were found at the ruins of Palenque. The Fati Dic is one of the 20 glyph sections framing the main diagram on King Pakal's tomb. King Pakal is believed to have been a celestial being and an earthly representation of Quetzalcoatl.

IMAGE: There seem to be mixed reviews of the tune Time Turns Elastic but I really like it. The series is a journey through time of a mythical every woman who gets the best out of life involving herself in the art, music and scene of each decade. Caught in the stylistic artistic approaches of those time periods her true nature shines through, part sea creature ( water being the bearer of all things emotional and creative ie: art, music, fashion) , part cosmic Alien, part human flesh. Caught on "film" as it were every 30 years (3 of course being the magic number)in the 20s, the 50s, the 80s and lastly now leading into 2010.

IMAGE: Kali the Desttroyer is crushing a sedan instead of Shiva. She's got the slave license plate and traffic light Bindi. In her hands are the car parts, the gear shift has a HI gear. She's got her truckers hat, dread locks and 1999 wrist bands. She is wearing a crystal wrap by SER. Around her neck is summer 2009 ticket stubs with Fenway front and center. She's got her all access pass and floor wrist band. On the floor are Mayan DMT toads; normally drawn with canoes to represent psychedelic trip to the other world, these toads have cars, trucks and buses. The entire tour in cities and dates are written behind her.
