Mastodon/Totimoshi European Tour Poster

Totimoshi/Mastodon European Tour

Perfect timing on Gigposters.com the other day landed me one of the most exciting projects of my career to date! Meg from Totimoshi, a San Fran based, metal tinged, alternative rock band hired me to produce their European tour poster. They are opening for Mastodon, a majorly awesome metal band with cosmic awareness. There were 500 produced, S/N. It is digitally printed on 300gsm Tintoret Stucco paper by Pixart in Venice Italy. The image comes from the story told through Mastodon’s new Crack the Skye album. It is the story of a quadriplegic boy who during an astral projection gets pulled through a worm hole into Tsarist Russia by the followers of Rasputin. The folowers are trying to reinvigorate Rasputins body with the boys soul. Rasputin however would like to get the boy back to his body as his parents have assumed him dead. The front of the poster shows the boy’s body in a brain aneurysm while Rasputin’s hand reaching through a worm hole trys to guide his soul. The sky is fractaling into patterns of Metatrons cube. As an extra bonus since I was so excited about this project the back of the poster is printed with Rasputin reaching through from the other side. You like?
